[His playful tone melts into something much less so though when Vanitas says "red"]

It doesn't bite. It's a big chain with red stones on each end.

[He tears the box open at the confirmation of what it is, cradling the massive stones in his hands like they might shatter. They glow softly]

[He glares at the comment- but instead of responding to it he slings the chain around the back of his waist. The ends loop over his arms, settling comfortably.]
